Role Overview
We have an immediate opening for a CNC Machinist to work in our advanced manufacturing precision machine shop based in our Shrewsbury, MA location. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. This position will be responsible for producing high-precision machined components by setting up and operating CNC mills in alignment with engineering specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and run CNC mills (HAAS preferred).
- Use knowledge of G&M codes in CNC programming process.
- Adjust G-Code, tooling, and fixtures for improved efficiency and quality.
- Open, validate, and post programs using CAM software.
- Load, adjust and maintain machining fixtures.
- Perform first-article and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gages and verify they meet all print tolerances and specifications.
- Run parts on Haas CNC mills including 3, 4, and 5 axis milling live tooling.
- Create, update, and improve setup sheets, work instructions, and best practices.
- Operate independently and go from print to part.
- Operate multiple machines, while meeting timeline demands and adhering to safety requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Apprentice or technical schooling for precision machining (CNC or Manual)
- Experience working with CAM (Mastercam preferred)
- Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints and related work instructions
- Understanding of GD&T (geometric dimensioning & tolerancing)
- Experience working with rigorous tight tolerances and minute measurements
- Ability to work self-sufficiently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods of time during scheduled shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of advanced manufacturing concepts and strategies (gained through experience or training)
- Proficient numerical abilities

The pay range for this position is $30 - $45 per hour. Compensation is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
