Role
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Electrical Engineering Test Technician to support the manufacturing team to power-up control boxes and motion systems, perform basic controller setup and servo tuning, diagnose and trouble shoot, use electrical equipment and tools such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, wire strippers, cutters, crimpers and basic hand tools, solder wires and basic PCBs. This a full-time position based in our Hopkinton, MA location. Please note that we will be moving to our new facility in Shrewsbury, MA sometime between the end of October and beginning of November.

What You Will Do:
- Perform mechanical assembly and testing of machinery and devices requiring precision alignment and measurement, following 2D/3D assembly drawings and written procedures.
- Diagnose and repair issues with products returned from the field.
- Conduct basic controller setup and servo tuning, including powering up control boxes and motion systems.

- Manage vendor RMAs and diagnose dead-on-arrival (DOA) components.
- Support production activities as needed to help achieve department objectives.
- Mentor and guide other Technicians in assembly, troubleshooting, and product testing best practices.
- Accurately report failures and defects through established company quality processes.
- Collaborate with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering on fixture design, process improvements, corrective actions, and other initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Adhere to 5S and lean manufacturing principles within an ISO 9001-certified environment.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET), a related 2-year technical degree, or completion of an equivalent trade school program.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in automation and/or motion control systems.
- Proficient in completing assembly and test documentation to meet regulatory and quality control standards.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Skilled in the use of common electrical test equipment, including digital voltmeters (DVM), oscilloscopes, and current probes.
- Proficient with basic hand tools such as wire strippers, cutters, crimpers, drills, and taps.
- Capable of performing basic soldering on both through-hole and surface-mount PCBs.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational abilities.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and effectively prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
- Automotive industry experience is a plus but not required.
