Role Overview
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly of devices requiring precision alignments and metrology
- Soldering of small gauge wires (28–36 gauge)
- Using a microscope for precision alignments and soldering of small devices
- Interpreting mechanical and technical product drawings and documentation
- Ability to use standard office applications (Word, Excel, Email)
Skills, Abilities and Education
- Skilled in performing complex, small-scale mechanical assemblies with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Moderate soldering experience, J-STD-001 preferred
- Familiarity with precision mechanical alignments, tools and techniques
- Can use multi-meters, wire strippers, and standard assembly and metrology tools
- Ability to complete assembly and metrology records for regulatory and QC requirements
- Use 5S and Lean principles in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Strong understanding of the metric system with the ability to interpret and work with metric dimensions in technical documentation and practical applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certificate in a related field preferred.
