We have an immediate opening for an Electrical Wiring Technician to work in our electrical assembly department based in Hopkinton, MA. This is a full time role, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. In this role you will be responsible for the wiring of electrical harnesses, cable assemblies, electrical panels, and cabinets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Soldering and crimping of small gauge wires.
- Electrical assembly of cables, wiring harnesses, electrical sub-panels, and cabinets
- Perform electrical testing and troubleshoot defects in electrical assemblies and cables.
- Report failures and defects via company quality processes
- Ability to cooperate with others in a team effort to achieve quality, safety and productivity goals
- Ability to work overtime to meet production schedule as needed
- Follow 5S and lean manufacturing principles and practices in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
Skills and Requirements
- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings.
- Proficient with hand crimp tools in the making of cables and/or harnesses.
- Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620 Cable & Wiring Harness standards, endorsement preferred.
- Familiar with standard D-subminiature connectors
- Familiar with machine and cabinet wiring.
- Can work with wires from ranging from 10 to 36 AWG.
- Soldering experience is required, J-STD-001 endorsement preferred.
- Able to work from a sitting or standing position for extended periods of time.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate degree or technical certificate in a related field preferred.
- US Citizen or Green Card required – evidence of permanent ability to live and work in the US is an employment contingency for this position.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in related field.
